It is difficult to not be frustrated and tired after an hour and a half long “bedtime” but I am choosing to be thankful instead.
Thankful for the energy of healthy bodies.
Thankful for little friendships taking root between siblings as they talk and play and fight and laugh and look out for one another.
Thankful for creative imaginations.
Thankful for meeting a new little friend and playmate and time with his mama.
Thankful for books and learning new things.
Thankful for being needed and wanted as a parent.
Thankful for nights of swimming and new things learned. (Ben swam without his “floatie” tonight…jumping and relishing in this new found independence.)
Thankful for red light green light in the driveway.
Thankful for a husband who loves and delights and cherishes his family.
Thankful for a God who gives good gifts and promises abundant life.
What are you thankful for? How can you close your day in thanksgiving?
