I LOVE our house. I really do!
But if I am honest, I can often find myself looking around my home thinking, “If only’s….”
“If only this room were larger, or if only this room was different…if only we had this…if only this were updated etc…”
But this video really changed my perspective on my home!
What I LOVE about this family’s home is that they focus on what they DO have instead of what they don’t. There is just a sweet spirit of contentment about it. They decided to live in 320 square feet so that they would not have a mortgage. I totally respect that! They use every nook and cranny, and cleverly store just what they need. Not only is it organized, but it is lovely! I also love that they still entertain. You see entertaining is not about what you have, but about how you share. How refreshing to see a family that chooses to live with just what they need and not all the extra stuff that seems to accumulate! This is radically different than what you might see on HGTV. 😉
Going on this virtual tour of this family’s home reminded me to take a fresh look at what I have with a thankful and content heart. It also challenged me to consider what I don’t really need and find it a new home. 🙂 I think I could absolutely live on less. Less space, and less stuff! Because really at the end of the day it is not about the walls, the floor, or the furnishings it is about your family.
Just thought I’d share…maybe you need a little perspective change too.
