Archives for January 2011
This is the ultrasound of our new baby!!!! This was taken at nine weeks….he or she is now at 19 weeks! We find out the gender of our sweet one this week (Tuesday) at my next doctor’s appointment.
I wanted to share this today in celebration of the Sanctity of Life. May you always protect and cherish life as a precious gift from God.
I love this girl’s help in the kitchen!
She is so fun to cook with! I always have fond memories of helping my mom, and I hope Caroline does someday too.
I got this cookbook for Christmas.
So far I’ve made her meatballs, scones, and biscuits. I love that the book is as much a biography as it is a cookbook. She tells about her life living on a Ranch, how she met her husband etc…and her photography is amazing. She has a pretty incredible blog too if you haven’t seen pioneerwoman.com.
Welp, hope you have a lovely day!
So normally for this series on my blog I repost a link to another Mom’s blog post that has an insight for us on parenting.
Well this time it’s not a mom, it’s a dad who writes a powerful post on The Gospel Coalition Blog about a realization he had about parenting his four children. Ted Tipp discusses two facts that he faced about parenting. He says, “I faced the fact that I had no ability whatsoever to change my children…I faced the fact that in order to be a tool of grace, I desperately needed grace myself.”
Read his post HERE I know that you will be greatly encouraged no matter what you are facing as a parent, or grandparent, or even youth leader etc…
