Just a quick and random post today…I wanted to share a t-shirt I saw at six flags on Tuesday. I spotted a girl wearing this in one of the many LONG lines for roller coasters, as I was swealtering in the 90 + degree heat of Atlanta, GA….

I was getting married!
So…I was not what you would call a wedding planning expert, but the whole thing came together and it was a beautiful day. I have such great memories from our wedding. It was a perfect 70 degree summer day. The sky couldn’t have been more blue nor the grass more green. Many of our dear friends and family were able to celebrate with us. We had the ceremony at a place called Glen Magna Farms, which oddly is not a farm at all. It is an old estate home with big white columbs and a wrap-around veranda. It is surrounded with the most beautiful gardens. I got ready in a room upstairs with my bridesmaids as the guests arrived. Then, as the string quartet played Pachelbel’s Cannon in G, my dad escorted me down the spiral staircase, then outside, then down a long path leading to a little gazebo where Derek was waiting. I remember being so excited to see him that I almost kissed him right there! After the ceremony, we had a lovely garden party, complete with dancing and cake. Guests roamed the gardens and sat at tables enjoying the atmosphere. It was simply perfect!
Happy Anniversary Baby!
I’ve escaped to Destin, Florida with my family for a few days of summer fun! We spent the day by the pool due to seaweed and jellyfish!!! At about 4 p.m. my mother-in-law took Caroline up to the condo for a nap and Derek I fell asleep in the shade. It was so wonderful (we drove through the night 9 hours). When we woke up everyone had left the pool because of an escaped fecal matter specimen…yikes! I’m just glad it wasn’t Caroline’s. More later…
