And let me tell you, I was not disappointed! I loved it.
The story hooks you emotionally in the first 30 seconds, drawing you into the magical world under the sea. The creators did an amazing job staying consistent with the first story and building on new themes and new loveable characters.
I don’t want to give away any of the story so you can go enjoy it for yourself, but I will say that I loved the theme of discovering how your greatest weakness is also your greatest strength.
It was an incredible story about never giving up hope. It brought me to tears honestly. In a good way. Not to mention the theme of HOME… I’ll spare you the five-paragraph English essay ;).
But, if you need a little hope and a reminder that you are loved unconditionally (and that even your weaknesses can be used for good!) go see this enchanting movie.
Have you seen it yet? What did you think?

*Edit* There has been a post making its way around the internet warning adoptive parents about “Finding Dory.” I just love when parents look out for each other in these ways! I’m sure you can find more info with a Google search, but I just wanted to add this info to my post for families that might want to preview the movie first. ~J
