A New Thing

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

I don’t know if I am just a sappy English Major or a true poet at heart but I am just a sucker for sunrises and season changes.

I am so moved by the gift of a new day, a fresh start, and sufficient grace for each moment.

And the coming of spring…all the new life and warm sunshine!!! Amazing. It is glorious every year.

All of it is so like its maker. God loves new days and new seasons too. He loves to do new things, especially in our hearts.

As this season changes (the faster the better ahem…) I am pondering the new things God wants to do in my heart and my life. I long for Him to keep making things new!

How about you? Do you long for God to do a new thing?

Singing His Grace,

Amen to that, Jess. There is something “super-fresh” about getting up in the morning before the crack of dawn. I swear I have heard it “crack” many times, but could never quite put my finger on it. So far, it has eluded me, but I am determined to track it down.
(Isaiah 60-1) I know you have noticed that the Lord is on the job every day…. waiting for us to “Rise and Shine” and embrace the new day with all the pleasures He has in store for us. I love to hear the chorus of birds singing on a bright and shiny spring morning. Have you ever been up early enough to hear the (very) first bird to exercise it’s vocals. He’s the one that God has chosen to lead the chorus
(bet you didn’t know that). Love ya! Papa
